Police FC defender handed dream debut by Rwanda’s Amavubi

 

Alongside 7 others, Uganda Police FC defender Denis Rukundo has finally made his international debut with the Rwandan nationalteam.

It was in a friendly match against Central African Republic at the Amahoro stadium in Kigali.

Rwanda won the match 2-0 courtesy of goals from APR striker Jacques Tuyisenge and FK Shkupi striker Abdul Rwatubyaye.

Their goals came in the 40th and 75th minutes. Rukundo’s former APR teammate Tuyisenge had earlier on missed a chance to put Rwanda in the lead in the 6th minute when he failed to convert a penalty.

The other players who had their debuts yesterday were Clement Buhake, Samuel Gullutte, Alain Kwitota , Ngwagije, Blaise Ishimwe and Yves Mugunga.

The two sides will face off again on Monday in another practice match in preparation of the FIFA World cup qualifiers to Qatar 2022.

Rwanda are in the same group as Uganda, E alongside Kenya and Mali.
