Police FC goalkeeper joins KCCA FC

Kenneth MUKISA

Derrick Ochan has joined KCCA FC from Uganda Police FC on a two year contract.

According to local website www.swiftsportsug.com, the free agent has switched to the yellow side of Lugogo after being guaranteed a starting position in the goal posts.

KCCA’s first choice goalkeeper last season Charles Lukwago was allowed to leave the club at the beginning of this transfer season leaving a vacuum in their goal.

Ochan who spent five seasons at Vipers SC, won the 2019/20 league title but he left the club under unclear circumstances following the return of Bashir Sekagya from loan at Proline.

KCCA were also chasing the signature of another free agent Bashir Sekagya but negotiations fell through .

The Morley Byekwaso side has already completed the signing of veteran midfielders Yassir Mugerwa and Brian Majwega.

The other signings are Emmanuel Wasswa, Arafat Usama, Geoffrey Wasswa and Brian Kayanja.
