BIG MATCH: Villa host champions elect Vipers at Njeru

Viola NANKYA

VILLA are in a hunt for safety points and a victory against Vipers SC tomorrow will help them avoid relegation.

Vengeance will also be on the agenda for Villa after being beaten at Intense

Having won the first round encounter at Kitende with an embarrassing 3-0 victory, Vipers will hope to further silence Villa with an even more hurting defeat which would throw the record champions into serious relegation fight.

The Jogoos drew 0-0 with Police FC in their previous league outing at Lugogo, whereas Vipers SC whitewashed Wakiso Giants to reach the semifinals of the Uganda cup.

Four points above red zoned Police FC isn’t enough with 3 games left but victory would all but seal their place in next year’s fixture.

HEAD TO HEAD

Vipers have won four out of the previous seven meetings between the two sides with Villa only managing once and two draws.

TEAM NEWS:

Youngsters Travis Mutyaba and Oscar Mawa return with their heads high after guiding their school St. Andrew Kaggwa Gombe S.S to the finals of the national secondary school championships in their maiden appearance.

Midfielder Abdallah Salim also returns to the squad after shaking off the injury that sidelined him for the Police match.

There is no place however for the injured duo of Joseph and Kenneth Semakula.

Vipers having already been declared champions, they may give chance to some of their reserve members of the squad.
