Express confirm sacking Wasswa Bbosa

Uganda Premier League champions Express FC have announced that Wasswa Bbosa has Bbosa sacked.

A statement released on Monday afternoon  confirmed

“Express would like to confirm that Wasswa Bbosa is leaving his role as head coach with immediate effect.”

The club would like to thank Bbosa for his dedication and memories most notable of those include winning the Uganda Premier league for the first time in 12 years and the CECAFA Kagame Cup.”

The club as confirmed that James Odoch who has been working as Bbosa’s assistant will take over on Interim basis. He will be assisted by Daniel Kiwanuka.

Bbosa leaves the Red Eagles in 5th place with 29 points garnered in 17 games and 10 adrift of leaders Vipers.

 

In May, 2020, Bbosa was permanently appointed as the club head coach a move which saw him return to serve the Red Eagles having previously held the same role in 2014. He replaced George Ssimwogerere at the helms of the Wankulukuku outfit.

His last game in charge of the Red Eagles ended in a 2-2 stalemate with bottom placed Tooro United on Friday last week.
