Jinja based club BUL FC have announced the release of defender Musa Walangalira who is believed to be the oldest player in the Uganda Premier league.
A state posted on the club’s official website said,
“BUL Football Club has released experienced defender Musa Walangalira after his contract with the team expired at the end of last season.
This has been a challenging decision and not one that the management has taken lightly.
We are grateful to Walangalira for what he has offered to the team as a player since 2018.
And in that regard, the club has offered him a testimonial match to be played at a time he will decide upon.”
He joined BUL FC in 2018 from city rivals JMC Hippos where he spent 10 years before crossing over to BUL FC.
It is understood that BUL have already underlined 10 players whose contracts will either be terminated or not renewed.
