SOLTILO BRIGHT STARS vs WAKISO GIANTS: Bamweyana hopes to reciprocate cup form into the league

Douglas Bamweyana got a breather off his troubles with the team’s failure to win games in the league after ejecting Big league side Water FC in the Uganda cup.

They now turn their focus on saving their season from further falling down the drain after going 4 games without winning.

“Our main focus is the league where results haven’t been coming our way and we hope the effectiveness at both ends in the Uganda cup games can be replicated .

Bamweyana echoed

They have suffered losses to Mbarara city, Busoga United and Kitara FC, the best being a draw against UPDF FC at Bombo.

Soltilo Bright Stars have failed to strike consistent results. They blow hot and cold which has seen them fail to move up the places. Baker Mbowa’s men are stuck in 10th position, only 4 above their relegation threatened counterparts Wakiso Giants and 7 above 14th placed Kyetume.

Interestingly, there has never been a winner between a winner between these two neighbors with their only 3 meetings ending in draws. The latest being a high scoring 2-2 draw at Kabaka Kyabaggu stadium in the first round.
