URA head coach Sam Ssimbwa has vowed that his team are now good enough to challenge on two battle fronts after edging Mbarara city in the Stanbic Uganda cup.
Brian Majwega scored the all important goal after the first leg ending goalless. URA consequently won the tie 1-0 on aggregate.
” This was the biggest hurdle of our Uganda cup challenge. Now that we have ejected Mbarara city, we can now go all the way” .
“All the teams remaining in the cup are strong enough to win it despite their level in the football pyramid “
“We have always struggled against Mbarara city but this time we beat them and now progress to the next round”.
URA are joint top on the log of the Uganda premier league and this is the basis on which Ssimbwa believes that his team are good enough to challenge for both.
“Our main target is the cup, all the tactics and strategies were geared towards going far in this cup and believe we are as good as anyone”
URA joined BUL, Proline, Vipers and Maroons as the teams to book their place in the round of 16
