Zambia side Buildcon slapped with transfer embargo

Ndola-based side, Buildcon has been hit with a transfer embargo by the World football governing body, FIFA, the ZamFoot Crew can exclusively reveal.

Team Kopala has joined limping Lusaka Dynamos on the transfer ban list and can not register players currently.

Despite completing paper work for winger Chipyoka Songa and midfielder Abel Kanyamuna, the duo can not be registered because of the transfer ban.

Buildcon secured the services of Songa after the Under-20 star left ‘Elite’ Lusaka Dynamos last week.

Kanyamuna joined the Ndola based outfit from Portuguese second-tier side CD Trofense. Kanyamuna penned a 12 months deal with Team Kopala.

The 19–year old youngster also featured for Italian Serie A side Cagliari’s U-17 and U–19 sides.

Lusaka Dynamos are not new to transfer bans as they were handed one back in 2020 following a breach of contract for Ghanaian goalkeeper, Mohammed Muntari Tagoe.

A year earlier, The Fédération Internationale des Associations de Footballeurs Professionnels generally referred to as FIFPro advised football players against signing for Lusaka dynamos.

Elite are second from bottom with 19 points while Buildcon despite the ban is 6th on the with 35 points and just eight points adrift of log leaders, Red Arrows.
