Former SC Villa coach Ibrahim Kirya has been earmarked as the best possible candidate to replace Edward Golola in the capacity of Tooro United head coach.
Sources privy to this website report that former URA coach is in advanced talks with the management of Tooro United and the two parties are close to reaching a compromise
Kirya was the head coach at Gomba Lions in the 2021 Masaza Cup as they failed to advance to the knockout phase with their campaign ending at the group stage. During the 2020 edition, he led Gomba to their fifth Masaza Cup triumph.
He has previously served at URA FC, SC Villa, Lweza FC and Wakiso Giants in the capacity of head coach.
At Tooro United, he will replace Edward Golola who was sacked by the club at the end of last year.
The Fort Portal based side is bottom placed with just four points this term.
In the Stanbic Uganda Cup, Tooro United will take on Wakiso based side Five Stars in the round of 64 contest this month.
