23 Ugandan referees have been approved for the 2022 FIFA badge

The Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA) has approved 23 Ugandan referees to be awarded with FIFA badges for 2022.

The list is made up of 7 centre referees, 10 assistant referees, 4 Beach Soccer referees and 2 Futsal referees.

Alex Muhabi who retired from officiating this year has been replaced George Olemu.

Beach Soccer referee Shafik Mugerwa has also been replaced with another new face in Joel Chote Munyendoh.

Mashood Ssali retained his badge

Mugerwa is reportedly out of the country currently and may be unavailable for the service.

Mashood Ssali, Ali Sabilla Chelangat, William Oloya, Ronald Madanda and George Olemu.

Male Assistant Referees:
Dick Okello, Ronald Katenya, Okello Lee, Isa Masembe, Hakim Mulindwa and Emmanuel Okudra.

Female Referees:
Shamirah Nabadda and Diana Mulungi.

Female Assistant Referees:
Lydia Nantabo Wanyana, Marex Nakitto Nkumbi, Jane Mutonyi and Dorcus Atuhaire.

Beach Soccer Referees:
Joel Chote Munyendoh, Ivan Kintu Bayige, Muhammad Ssenteza and Kennedy Kawagga Bazirio.

Futsal Referees:
Brian Emmy Nsubuga and Isaac Ssengendo.
