Matchday five rolls out as the Big league top of the table shapes up


Battle for places in the FUFA Big league intensifies as four teams tied on seven points get to the battle ground in a search for the three qualification places.

Kitara FC, Blacks Power FC, Kataka FC and Kyetume FC are the leaders of the park and they will aim to consolidate their places.

Kitara visit Proline FC at MTN Omondi Stadium in Lugogo and are yet to test defeat having drawn once in their last three league matches and are fresh from a 4-2 demolition of winless Nyamityobora.

Proline picked their first win of the season after beating Luweero United on the previous match day

Alpha Thierry Ssali and Hakim Kiwanuka scored their 2 goals at the Kosovo grounds in Kasana.

Proline FC will be without Yusuf Mukisa who got red carded at Kasana.

In the other matches of the day, Maroons FC will hope to bounce back from the 1-0 loss inflicted on them by Kataka FC in Mbale.

They host Vialli Bainomugisha’s Blacks Power FC at Luzira Prisons grounds. Blacks Power were 2-1 victors over Ndejje in midweek.

Maroons FC have garnered four points from four games played so far.

Winless Nyamityobora FC welcomes fellow strugglers MYDA FC at Kakyeka Stadium Mbarara.

Nyamityobora is the only side yet to win a game this season and they sit on the bottom of the table with two points from four games.

MYDA is a position above Nyamityobora FC with three points collected out of the possible nine.

David Mutono’s Kyetume FC suffered their first defeat of the season at the hands of Calvary in midweek.

They will also hope to return their campaign back on track when they visit Ndejje.

In form Kataka FC will target a third consecutive victory as the host Luweero United at Mbale Municipal Stadium.

They are also yet to taste any defeat this term along with Kitara.

Luweero United are 9th on the table of 11 teams with only three points from three games.

They will travel to Mbale without midfielder Joseph Nkabirwa who also saw red against Proline.
