FUFA to foot bills for Isma Mugulusi’s surgery

The Federation of Uganda football associations has committed itself to paying all the medical bills and transport expenses towards the surgery of SC Villa midfielder and national team midfielder Isma Mugulusi.

Mugulusi needed $7000 (Shs25m) but his agency Sepuya inc have beene running a drive to fundraise for the player.

“FUFA will foot the travel costs and medical bills of Isma Mugulusi who is set to undergo an operation on his knee in Europe.”

FUFA confirmed the development

This means that the initial fundraising plans are no more. The young midfielder will now travel to Greece to have his operation.

For starters, Mugulusi had earlier tried to have a surgery in Kenya but they asked for $14000 and also had a chance to have it for free at Crutone Hospital in Italy but failed to get a visa.

Mugulusi is a graduate of the Uganda National U-17 team (Cubs), Jinja SSS and Busoga United. He was also instrumental for the Uganda Hippos teams during the U-20 championship that was staged in Mauritania.
