Uganda premier league side Soltilo Bright Stars have announced that they have parted ways with head coach Baker Mbowa after only 15 months in charge.
The decision has been triggered by a string of bad results that have seen the club sit in the relegation zone after 5 matches.
The team has only gathered one point out of a possible 12 after losing to Mbarara city, Onduparaka, Gaddafi FCand a draw off KCCA FC.
“Soltilo Bright Stars and Mr. Abubakar Mbowa have on 10th November 2021 mutually agreed to part ways, the decision has been taken due to results and performances not being to the required level “
A statement from the club read.
The CAF B licenced coach has had stints at Proline FC first in 2016 where he led the club as they fought for Premier League promotion.
He was Shafiq Bisaso’s assistant when they lifted the Uganda Cup in 2019 and consequently featured in the Caf Confederation Cup.
The former KCCA FC and Ex Cranes international has also coached Masaka LC, Mawokota and Kabula in the Masaza Cup.
