Express FC aim to add more salt into Police’s wounds

After recovering from a poor start to their title defense, Express FC visit embattled   bottom placed Police FC at Lugogo.

The Cops have lost all four of their opening fixtures and they will hope to set their campaign off this evening.

Express are 10th on the table with four points garnered from four games having lost twice, drawn and won once.

Police lost to Vipers, BUL, Wakiso Giants and most recently to SC Villa at Kavumba, the other only side yet taste victory are Soltilo Bright Stars.

Express drew 2-2 with Vipers in their most recent game on Saturday at Wankulukuku and will be hoping to build from the positives from the thrilling encounter.

Head coach Wasswa Bbosa returns to the touchline after serving his three match suspension.

Team News

Johnson Odong and captain Tonny Mawejje are expected to return to the squad after recovering from injury.

Midfielder Yusuf Ssozi is ruled out of the encounter by injury.

Express will continue life without their skipper Enock Walusimbi (hip injury). Godfrey Lwesibawa returned to training but not yet available for selection.

Stand in captain Abel Eturude got stretchered off in the last game but he is available to start in the midfield.

Express FC have won 11 of the past 23 meetings with Police FC.

The Cops have managed to win six games in the 23 meetings while the other six have been draws.

Express won both games last season, 1-0 at Lugogo courtesy of Erick Kambale and 2-0 at Wankulukuku through Kambale and Lwesibawa.
