The Soldier boys of Gaddafi have made history this evening when they sensationally beat Soltilo Bright Stars by 1-0 at the Gaddafi Arena in Jinja.
Substitute James Otim scored a late goal to hand a sumptuous victory for new comers Gaddafi FC against Baker Mbowa’s Soltilo Bright Stars.
Otim’s moment came in the additional minutes after regulation time had expired. He had come on for Steven Munguchi in the 71st minute.
Earlier on in the 65th, had scored one for the visitors only to be cancelled by referee Lucky Kasalirwe for he had fouled goalkeeper Ronald Mutebi before scoring.
It is a third consecutive defeat for Soltilo Bright Stars and they are yet to collect any point from their previous three league matches.
Gaddafi FC’s defender Willis Otong was named man of the match.
The emphatic victory lifts debutants Gaddafi to eighth with four points while Soltilo Bright Stars remain 15th on the table of 16 without a point
The Soldier Boyz will next play UPDF at Bombo Barracks Military grounds while Soltilo Bright Stars visit KCCA at MTN Omondi Stadium Lugogo.
