Following a false start to the 2021/22 campaign, which has seen them lose two games on the bounce and conceding 8 goals without scoring any, Wakiso Giants head coach Douglas Bamweyana has succumbed to pressure and threw in the towel.
In their opening match, Wakiso Giants lost 3-0 at home to KCCA and went to lose 5-0 to Vipers SC at Kitende.
In the wake of this morning, the former Express FC, Maroons and SC Villa tactician handed in his resignation letter to his bosses citing that he can nolonger turn the fortunes of the club and so he urges them to find someone else.
Bamweyana was hired at the beginning of last season and he helped guide the club to their best ever finish since their elevation to the top flight.
In their first season, they finished 7th but Banweyana helped them reach 9th last term.
Wakiso Giants’ next match is a visit to Wankulukuku against Express FC this midweek.
