Villa given tentative licence after adhering to FUFA demands

Record league champions SC Villa have not been part of the league after FUFA suspended them from the fixtures following their failure to hold elections and also follow FUFA guidelines as regards association football.

It’s understood that Villa has finally accepted to hold elections as soon as possible.This was communicated in the congress and board meeting today Saturday 23rd October at Serena kigo

The meeting was also attended by some executives from the Federation of Uganda Football Associationg (FUFA) and these included the President Moses Magogo,the Deputy CEO Decolas Kizza and the chairman of the Club Licensing Committee Rogers Mulindwa and

Members who attended the meeting agreed the they will do what it takes for the club to be included in the top flight league and also agreed that whoever wants to stand for the club presidency will have to pass through vetting

After the meeting Sports Club Villa has requested FUFA that considering the above Club Congress resolutions, the Club is issued with a provisional club license for the 2021/22 Uganda Premier League Season

However, FUFA shall withdraw immediately the provisional license in the event that the club fails to fulfill the resolutions against which the license has been issued.
