After losing his place in the Cranes sqaud for the double header against Rwanda because of inactivity, captain Emmanuel Okwi is in desperate need to find a club.
Reports from Kigali Indicate that Okwi will sign for Rwanda outfit SC Kiyovu
The club has won five league titles, three trophies, and one super cup, and was the only Rwandan club to go a whole season unbeaten in 1990.
Okwi has been clubless since the expiry of his contract with Egyptian side Al Ittihad Alexandria last year.
He was linked to a move back to SC Villa a club he has featured for previously on three occasions.
Villa offered him a two year deal but the striker preferred to join them on a temporary basis of six months and asked to be paid all the salary upfront.
Tanzania giants Simba SC were also interested in taking Okwi back but a deal could not materialise.
Okwi will join Nicholas Sebwato, Pius Wangi and Ben Ocen as the other Ugandans in the Rwanda Primus league.
