Uganda’s U20 Women national team took a big step towards qualifying for FIFA U20 Women Waorld cup after beating neighbours Kenya 7-2 at the Nyayo Stadium to take a first leg advantage in the 2022 African U20 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers.
Juliet Nalukenge and Sumaya Komuntale grabbed a brace each while skipper Fauziah Najjemba, Margaret Kunihira and Shamirah Nalugya scored the other goals for Uganda.
Shaylene Opisa scored the two goals for Kenya.
The return leg will be played on October 8th at the St. Mary’s Stadium in Kitende.
The winner of the tie will face either Mozambique or South Africa in the next round.
