SC Villa agree terms to sign former KCCA striker Kafumbe

Emily Mwetseise

Record league champions SC Villa have reached an agreement with former KCCA FC striker Joseph Kafumbe and he will sign a three year contract.

The former Buddo SS winger was promoted to the KCCA senior team in 2019 and he signed a four year contract but his time was called short when new coach Morley Byekwaso deemed him surplus to requirements.

Kafumbe has previously represented Uganda at the U17 and U20 levels.

The versatile youngster scored his first ever goal for KCCA against SC Villa during their 4-1 win over the record champions at Lugogo in the 2019/20 season.

He is expected to join new signings at Villa who include fellow youngsters Ismail Mugulusi, Travis Mutyaba, Kenneth Semakula and Oscar Mawa.

Other signings made by SC Villa include goalkeeper Yiga Joseph who is yet to be unveiled, Gift Fred, Ali Bayo Arshavin and striker Charles Bbaale.
