Cranes head coach Milutin Sredojevic Micho has dropped five players from the available Cranes squad ahead of the Cranes World Cup qualifiers against Kenya and Mali.
The unlucky party of five is headlined by Abdul Lumala who has barely kicked a competitive football for close to two years, young defender Kenneth Semakula, Martin Kizza and midfielder Shafik Kagimu.
Simba SC’s Taddeo Lwanga will also miss the two matches through injury.
Mustafa Kizza (CF Montreal), Isaac Muleme (Viktoria Zizkov) and Egypt based striker Derrick Nsibambi have joined the squad.
The team is expected to fly from Bahir Dar airport to Addis Ababa Bole International airport at 6:00pm before setting off to Nairobi Kenya on Monday 30th at 11:00pm.
The Cranes will open their World Cup qualification campaign against Kenya on Thursday 2nd September at Nyayo International Stadium Nairobi before facing off with Mali four days later at St Mary’s Stadium in Kitende.
