Bbosa dreaming big after CECAFA Kagame cup victory

Express FC edged Nyasa Big Bullets 1-0 at National Stadium in Dar es Salaam to clinch their maiden Championship of the CECAFA Kagame Cup.

Martin Kizza scored the only goal in the game for the Red Eagles in the 22nd minute.

Head coach Wasswa Bbosa refuses to be sank in the short term success and now urges his team not to rest on their laurels but to now focus on the task ahead which is the Uganda cup semifinals and CAF champions league.

“We had a training of only three days and came in this tournament with the players not fully fit due to a long lay off but I credit them for the team work and executing the tactics so well hence the championship.”

“As a coach, it is a great achievement to me and to the club this is indeed great now we focus on the Stanbic Uganda Cup back home.”

Bbosa added

The Red Eagles who had failed on two attempts losing two finals to El Merriekh and Simba SC in 1994 and 1995 respectively now join SC Villa, KCCA FC and Proline FC among the Ugandan teams to have won the championship.

They now turn the focus to the Stanbic Uganda Cup where they will be playing against BUL FC on a home and away basis.
