Uganda Premier league champions Express FC will take on Malawian giants Nyasa Big Bullets in the final of the CECAFA Kagame cup.
The grand finale will be hosted by the gigantic Benjamin Mkapa stadium in Dar es Salaam at 7:00pm EAT
The Red Eagles last reached the final 26 years ago after back to back defeats in 1994 and 1995.
Their opponents are playing in the tournament final for the first time having won the Malawian league 14 times.
They have reached the final without losing a single game. They drew when they met in the group stages.
Fast paced wingman Godfrey Lwesibawa is ruled out of the final through illness.
Express tactician Wasswa Bbosa is confident his team have the ability to create their own history.
“This is what we have been playing for, a final is a major highlight especially at this stage. We have prepared well for the game, we played Big Bullets in the group stages so we know what to expect.”
