Simon Peter Mugerwa has signed a contract extension with Bright Stars up to three years following a stellar season he had since joining the club.
Serving as Baker Mbowa’s assistant, Mugerwa was very key in elavating Bright Stars into a serious challenger in the Uganda Premier league last season where they went close to 10 games unbeaten
He is blessed with a keen eye of spotting raw talent and mould them into better players.
Announcing the news, Bright Stars Chief Executive Officer Mathias Mugwanya commended Mugerwa’s impact at the club despite spending a short period of time there.
“Simon has been very instrumental especially in the recruitement progress.He has shown that he is one of the best coaches in the country. He has exhibited a good work ethic and the club is proud to have him commit to to a long term.
He said.
Mugerwa has previously served under Douglas Bamweyana as assistant coach at SC Villa
