Uganda Premier league club Wakiso Giants have seen their sensational bid SC Villa for young Cranes defender Gavin Kizito turned down.
This website understands that the money bags had tabled an undeniable offer for the player but Villa who are believed to be building a new project refused to take the bait.
Wakiso Giants had agreed terms with the players’ representatives and the compromise was imminent until the intervention of one of Villa’s influential bigwigs who assured the player of good things ahead at SC Villa.
Kizito who led the national U20 men team in the CAF championship early this year is touted as one of the beat defenders of the coming generation.
He is a product of Villa’s youth system and he developed through the ranks. He was also crowned best young player 2019 by FUFA.
He was also part of St. Mary’s Kitende’s Copa Coca cola title winning squad two years ago.
Kizito has since been promoted to the national senior men’s team and he earned his debut in March against Malawi in the CAF AFCON qualifiers.
