The draws for this year’s tournament which will take place in Ethiopia were conducted on Tuesday, July 13.
This year’s tournament will have nine teams following the withdrawal of Rwanda, last week.
In Group A, the Kobs will face neighbours Tanzania and guests DR Congo.
Uganda are the defending champions of the competition having won it in Kampala in 2019.
Morley Byekwaso’s team has just returned to Uganda following a week-long training camp in Saudi Arabia where they played two games, losing one and drawing the other.
The other groups have hosts Ethiopia, Burundi and Eritrea in group B while group C harbours Djibouti, South Sudan and Kenya.
It was decided that this year’s edition should be played by players under the age of 23 with only three senior players allowed per nation.
