Uganda’s CECAFA preparations have been dealt a major blow after goal keeper Ismael Watenga’s availability being thrown in uncertainty.
His club will play in the South African PSL relegation playoffs on 30th June yet his compatriots are already in camp.
It is also believed that the custodian also has fears the current upsurge in the COVID-19 pandemic that has hit Uganda with the second wave.
Watenga was among the 5 over age players selected by Byekwaso from whom he would pick 3 of them to join the 20 U23 players for the tournament that will be played between 3rd-18 July this year.
