After failing to clinch their place in Wednesday last week, they returned more determined this time and delivered when it mattered most to join Arua Hill as the two sides to have earned automatic promotion to the Uganda Premier league.

Striker Marvin Oshaba converted a 27th minute penalty that won he match for Tooro United and also relegated Kigezi Homeboyz to the 3rd tier.

They badly needed to win this match since they were only 2 points above second placed Proline who also beat Water FC 2-0 at Lugogo.

It was Oshaba who was fouled in the forbidden area and he stood up to calmly convert the penalty.

Prior to Oshaba’s goal, Tooro United had survived an early scare when their goalkeeper was caught off his line but the Kigezi striker kicked the.ball above the bar with the net empty .

Kigezi tried to fight back deep injury time but Dickson Niwamanya ‘ s thunderbolt hit the top bar and went outside.

The defeat to Kigezi saw them relegated to the 3rd tier following Ndejje’s stalemate with Luwero.

Water FC survived courtesy of their superior number of goals scored despite being level on points with Kigezi.

Nyamityobora and Proline sealed places for the playoffs from the Rwenzori group

Whereas Gaddafi and Blacks Power qualified for the playoffs from the Elgon group.
