South Africa 3-2 Uganda
South Africa’s Bafana Bafana came from a goal down to edge Uganda Cranes in an international friendly played on Thursday night at the Orlando Stadium in Soweto.
The Cranes led 1-0 at halftime courtesy of Ibrahim Orit but the home side overturned the scoreline with three goals.
Orit gave Uganda the lead in the 18th minute with a fine header from Emmanuel Okwi’s well delivered cross.
Substitute Evidence Makgoba scored the equalizer for Bafana Bafana in the 62nd minute when he finished off perfectly from Thabiso Kutumela’s cross.
Hlongwane Bongokuhle then gave them the lead when he beat Mustafa Kizza and fired a low drive past Ismail Watenga five minutes later.
Makgoba made it 3-1 with another brilliant finish in the 83rd minute after capitalizing on another Cranes defensive mishap.
