Wakiso Hill booked a berth in the FUFA Women Elite League quarter finals after beating EHCOS (Eastern Hope College, Soroti) 3-0 in the final Group D game at Njeru.
Justine Birabwa, Slyvia Namiwanda and Faith Namuddu were all on target for the Wakiso based side in the second half.
Following a goalless first half, Birabwa broke the deadlock from a free kick five minutes into the second half.
Namiwanda doubled the lead three minutes past the hour mark before Namuddu made it 3-0 five minutes to full-time.
Wakiso Hill finished second on the Group D table with four points whereas She Maroons topped the group with nine points from three games.
She Maroons beat Lango Queens 1-0 courtesy of Winnie Kyomugisha’s lone goal in the 79th minute. Kyomugisha has managed to score four goals in three games.
She Maroons will play against Ajax Queens in the quarter finals while Wakiso Hill will face Amuria High School with both games slated for Sunday.
The quarter finals will kick off on Saturday with King of Kings taking on neighbors Bunyaruguru Girls. Rines WFC will face Dynamic SS Jjeza on the same day.
