She Maroons came from one goal down to beat Wakiso Hill 2-1 and subsequently became the first team from Group D to qualify to the FUFA Women Elite League quarter finals.
Wakiso Hill captain Tracy Faridah Nanyonjo had put Wakiso Hill in the lead but substitute Winnie Kyomugisha scored twice to ensure She Maroons win the encounter.
She Maroons came into the affair on the back of a comprehensive 6-1 win over Echoes Women Football Club in the group opener and needed three points to qualify for the last eight.
Nanyonjo scored for Wakiso Hill through a free kick two minutes to the mandatory halftime break.
Kyomugisha came off the bench and scored the equalizer from a free kick five minutes into the second half.
She completed the comeback with a penalty kick after a foul by Wakiso Hill goalkeeper Zulaika Ayikoru in the 63rd minute.
Kyomugisha’s brace took her tally to three goals, having scored one against Echoes in the opener.
She Maroons have now garnered six points from two games and will automatically finish top of the group.
Lango Queens who drew 1-1 with Echoes, have two points whereas Wakiso Hill and Echoes have one point apiece.
She Maroons will face Lango Queens in the final game while Wakiso Hill will take on Echoes. Both games will be played on Friday.
