UGANDA CUP: SC Villa score late to draw against Vipers at Kitende

Ronald Ssekiganda scored for SC Villa in stoppage time to ensure a 1-1 draw with Vipers SC in the first leg of the quarter finals of the Stanbic Uganda Cup.

The towering midfielder scored the equalizer that cancelled out Lawrence Tezikya’s opener.

Tezikya came on for Ceaser Manzoki at the hour mark as Vipers sought for an opener.

The former Busoga United striker broke the deadlock with a header from Bobosi Byaruhanga’s delivery in the 79th minute.

In the 88th minute, SC Villa brought on striker Francis Olaki for Muhammed Senoga.

Olaki’s impact counted most after the former league top scorer crossed for Ssekiganda who headed home the equalizer two minutes into the added five minutes.

The return leg will be played on 2nd June 2021 at the Military Barracks stadium in Bombo.
