FWEL: Kenyan striker scores hat trick as She Maroons obliterate Echoes WFC

She Maroons thumped Echoes Women Football Club 6-1 to take control of Group D of the FUFA Women Elite League in Njeru.

Kenyan striker Millicent Mwanzi Namwembe scored a hat trick to announce her name in the golden boot race.

Millicent Mwanzi Namwembe is a former player of UCU Lady Cardinals.

Kauthar Naluyima scored a brace while substitute Winnie Kyomugisha scored the other.

Shilla Amadit scored the lone goal for Echoes High School which turned out to be a mere consolation.

The other game played on the day saw Wakiso Hills and Lango Queens play out a goalless draw.

The games will resume on Wednesday as She Maroons face Wakiso Hills while Echoes FC will tussle it out with Lango Queens.
