BUL 3-1 ONDUPARAKA: Alex Isabirye gets first win as BUL FC coach

BUL FC beat Onduparaka 3-1 at Bugembe in one other three Uganda Premier League games played on Saturday.

Deogracious Ojok, Joseph Semujju and Simon Oketch scored the goals for BUL while Living Kabon got the consolation for the Caterpillars.

The win was Alex Isabirye’s first as BUL FC head coach since taking over the Jinja club from Arthur Kyesimira.

Prior to the encounter, Isabirye was in charge of five league games where he lost thrice and drew the other two.

Ojok gave Isabirye’s men the lead in the 15th minute before Semujju converted from the penalty mark to make it 2-0 at the stroke of halftime.

Oketch put the game beyond Onduparaka’s reach in the 76th minute.

Kabon reduced the deficit with his 11th goal of the season in the 85th minute but it was too little too late to initiate a comeback.

BUL moved to the 11th position with 30 points while Onduparaka remained on 28 points. The Caterpillars are now 12th with five points above the relegation zone.
