Express continued their fine form this evening as they put relegation threatened Airtel Kitara to the sword. The red eagles thumped the Masindi based side 4-0.
This was the second time in the same week Express have scored 4-0 in the Uganda Premier league having beaten Busoga United by the same score on Tuesday.
Eric Kambale who seems unstoppable of lately was again at his finest as he scored a brace. He gave Express an early lead in the 8th minute and scored his second in the 64th minute. His two goals mean he has scored 15 league goals this season.
Arthur Kiggundu doubled Express’ lead in the 28th minute giving the red eagles a comfortable 2-0 lead going into half time.
Substitute Frank Kalanda quadrupled Express’ lead in the 78th minute.
This game was also attended by club chairman, Mr. Kiryowa Kiwanukka.
Express regained their lead at the top on 58 points with four games to play.
Kitara on the other hand seem like they have their fate sealed towards relegation as they lie bottom of the table on 13 points.
