Maroons FC have confirmed the appointment of Mohammed Ssenfuma as their new head coach.
Ssenfuma replaces Chslres Ayiekoh Mbuzi who was relieved of his duties following a string of poor performances at the club.
Under Ayiekoh, Maroons lost five consecutive games and had their chances of qualifying to the topflight suffer a blow.
Ayiekoh was working alongside former Tooro United coach Eric Ndifuna who was serving as his immediate deputy.
James Chemari will now serve as the club’s assistant coach replacing Ndifuna.
Ssenfuma and Chemari have been working with the club’s academy and were in the dug out when Maroons beat Gadaffi 2-0 at Luzira on Thursday.
Bronson Nsubuga and Fred Amaku scored two goals inside the first 12 minutes of the game to ensure Maroons win their first game in six attempts.
The Prison Warders are struggling for safety having garnered ten points from eight games. They sit 5th on the Elgon Group table.
Maroons will visit table leaders Arua Hill SC in their next league game on Sunday 23rd at Barifa Grounds in Arua.
