Express FC beat Busoga United 4-0 at the FUFA Technical Center in Njeru to temporarily go top of the table.
Godfrey Lwesibawa stole the show with a hat trick while striker Eric Kambale scored the other goal for Wasswa Bbosa’s men.
Lwesibawa sprung Express in the 21st minute with a rebound after Martin Kizza’s shot was spilled in his way by goalkeeper Michael Nantamu.
The former SC Villa winger scored another with a half volley after Kizza brilliantly set him up six minutes later.
He completed his hat trick two minutes to the hour mark after Charles Musiige set him up.
In the 65th minute, Kambale made it 4-0 with his 13th goal of the season.
Express’ sixth consecutive win took them to the top of the table with 54 points, one more than URA who will play against Kyetume on Wednesday.
The Red Eagles will host Kitara in their subsequent fixture at Wankulukuku on Friday 21st May.
Busoga remained 13th with 26 points and will visit KCCA on Saturday in their next league game.
