Soltilo Bright Stars host Mbarara City at Kavumba Recreation grounds in one of the four UPL games to be played on Tuesday.
Bright Stars are 6th on the table with 34 points while Mbarara City lie 11th with 26 points after 22 games played.
Both sides come into this fixture after playing out draws in their respective previous games. Bright Stars drew 0-0 with Villa at Bombo while Mbarara City played out a one-all draw with BUL FC at Bugembe.
Bright Stars will be targeting their first-ever league double over Mbarara City having won the first-round encounter 1-0 through Joseph Akandwanaho’s late goal at Kakyeka stadium in Mbarara.
The previous seven meetings between the two sides have seen both teams win twice and draw on the other three occasions.
The game comes at a time Bright Stars coach Baker Mboowa and striker Sam Ssekamatte Kayongo were crowned the best coach and player of the April in the Pilsner monthly awards.
Ssekamatte will be the man to watch having scored 10 league goals so far, three behind the leading scorer Yunus Sentamu of Vipers.
Bright Stars will have to negotiate the tie without Marvin Joseph, Simon Ssemayange, Ronald Nkonge, Nvule Jamir Kisitu, Ronald Ssempala, Sam Ssekitto and goalkeepers Edwin Buule Kiwanuka and Benson Wegima.
Midfielder Derrick Kiggundu is also out of the contest due to suspension after accumulating three yellow cards.
Mbarara City will be without South Sudan striker Makweth Wol, Ivorian defender Souleymane Bamba and John Adriko due to injury.
Bright Stars will temporarily get level on points with KCCA and Police if they manage to win while a win for Mbarara City will see them stretch away from the drop zone.
