Soltilo Bright Stars and SC Villa settled for a goalless draw in a game played for 80 minutes at the Bombo Military Barracks.
The game was delayed due to the heavy downpour and it was agreed that both halves would be played for 40 minutes each.
SC Villa’s winless streak in the league stretched to six games. The Jogoos last won a league match against MYDA in Tororo a month ago.
Villa dominated proceedings against Bright Stars but could not find a breakthrough against Bright Stars’ defense and goalkeeper Simon Tamale.
Tamale denied Olaki in what proved to be the best chance that fell to the 16-time champions.
Joseph Akandwanaho also went closest for the visitors after rounding goalkeeper Meddie Kibirige but his effort was cleared off the line by Geoffrey Wasswa moments into the second half.
Bright Stars are now 6th with 34 points while Villa are in a place below with 32 points.
Edward Kaziba’s men will visit Onduparaka in their next game on Tuesday while Bright Stars will host Mbarara City on the same day.
