Kigezi Homeboyz part ways with coach Twinamatsiko

FUFA Big League side Kigezi Homeboyz have officially parted company with coach Mark Twinamatsiko following a string of unconvincing results.

Twinamatsiko leaves Kigezi Homeboyz on mutual consent two days after the club lost 2-1 to UPL side BUL in the first leg of the Round of 16 of the Stanbic Uganda Cup.

The development was confirmed by the club in a statement released via their official social media platforms,

” The management of Kigezi HomeBoyz Football Club (KHB FC) and the club Mr. Mark Twinamatsiko have today Thursday, May 06, 2021, agreed by mutual consent to end his employment with the club with immediate effect.”

The youthful coach joined Kigezi Homeboyz at the start of the current season after successfully guiding Kitara FC to a Premier League promotion.

He however failed to guide Kigezi Homeboyz to the right path and leaves them with only six points garnered from seven games played.

Twinamatsiko has also previously coached The Saints and guided them to the topflight, Dove FC and Kirinya Jinja SS – now known as Busoga United.

Academy coach Denis Tushabe has been appointed to coach the team on an interim basis to take charge in the closing stage of the season.

Kigezi will start their second-round campaign with a home fixture against Proline FC at the Kabale Municipal Stadium on Sunday 16th May.
