Uganda Martyrs High School WFC came from a goal down to upset Kawempe Muslim ladies 2-1 in the Women Super League third place play off played at FUFA Technical Center in Njeru.
Goals from Shamsa Najjuma and Spencer Nakachwa propelled Uganda Martyrs to a third finish against the league’s most successful team.
Kawempe had taken the lead through Allen Nassazi in the 21st minute.
Kawempe finished 4th which is the worst finish since the inception of the women’s elite league in 2015.
Uganda Martyrs have finished third for the second time since 2015 with the first one coming in their debut season in 2017
