Express dump URA out of the Uganda cup

On a soggy pitch, Express FC prevailed to eject 3 time winners URA FC after holding them to a goalless stalemate.

The game was delayed for over 20 minutes due to water that had logged on the pitch to cover the playing surface.

URA needed to win the game by only a single goal to advance but Express’ defense marshalled by Murushid Juuko thwarted all their attempts.

Despite a nervy ending, visitors managed to hold onto their aggregate lead to progress to the next stage.

Focus for either side now turns to the league showdown where URA will host Onduparaka on Friday 7th, whereas Express host Police FC at Wankulukuku.
