BUL consider Alex Isabirye as Kyesimira’s replacement

Kenneth MUKISA

Uganda premier league side BUL FC have line up former URA, SOANA and Nyamityobora head coach Alex Isabirye as a potential replacement to the exiting Arthur Kyesimira.

Reports have come out to indicate that Kyesimira bid farewell to his players at the end of Sunday’s training session.

Online publication Swift Sports further stressed that BUL’s unfortunate loss to rivals Busoga United was his final match in the dugout.

Appointed only 14 months ago, the CAF B licence holder replaced Peter Onen in the head coach role for BUL but he has failed to steer the club to respectable positions on the log .

His recent form has further made made matters worse. Picking only 4 points out of a possible 15 forced the club to wield the axe. They have now been dragged into the relegation dog fight, being only 5 points above 14th placed Kyetume.

Losses to Busoga United, URA, and KCCA, were followed by stalemates with Mbarara city and relegation threatened Kyetume. BUL has won only one match from their previous 5.

Isabirye is set to be unveiled by the club any time soo after agreeing personal terms to work with the club.
