URA captain Kagimu calls for quick solution to goal drought as the title race heats up

Kenneth MUKISA

URA might have assumed table leadership following their 0-0 stalemate with Bright stars but that is simply not enough as regards the title run down

The tax collectors are now on top of the log with 44 points but they have a tough fixture ahead of them. A date with Mbarara city awaits them at Ndejje . URA have now gone two games without scoring, a 0-0 draw with Villa and this one.

The captain has therefore called upon his teammates to quickly find their boots and put the chances away.

“We, as much as our supporters, want to win games but a times it doesn’t happen. We however need to find quick solutions to our goal drought as soon as yesterday.”

The skipper also conceded to the fact that Bright Stars have always been a tough opponent for URA and this time they had been on a winning run of four consecutive games.

“They (Bright Stars) have been in great form and we knew it wouldn’t be an easy game. We gave our best but a point is all we could get. We have to recover very fast as we have another match on Tuesday. There is no time for rest”

Kagimu told the Club media.

URA’s next match is a tough visit by Mbarara city, they will face a side coached by Livingston Mbabazi who hasn’t lost a game since taking over. Today they beat SC villa 2-1. He has picked 11 points from the 5 games managed.

URA have also not beaten Mbarara city in their last 5 meetings with all ending in draws. Their closest rivals Vipers will have an tie against Kitara on the same day
